Collaboration for excellence

The Alabama HBCU Consortium is a collaboration of four historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the state of Alabama: Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Miles College, and Oakwood University. These institutions offer a wide range of academic programs and are committed to providing a high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds.

Each of the schools in the consortium offers a unique set of academic programs, but they all share a commitment to providing a rigorous and comprehensive education that prepares students for success in their chosen fields. Here are some examples of the academic programs offered at each school:

Alabama A&M University

Alabama A&M offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as agriculture, engineering, education, business, and the arts and sciences. The university is particularly well-known for its programs in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields.

Alabama State University

ASU offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as education, business, health sciences, liberal arts, and the sciences. The university also has a number of specialized programs, such as its W.E.B. Du Bois Honors Program, which is designed to provide a challenging and enriching academic experience for high-achieving students.

Miles College

Miles College is a liberal arts college that offers a range of undergraduate programs in areas such as business, education, social sciences, natural sciences, and the humanities. The college also has a strong athletics program and offers scholarships to student-athletes.

Tuskegee University

Tuskegee University is a private, historically black university located in Tuskegee, Alabama, United States. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a variety of fields, including engineering, business, agriculture, education, and nursing. Tuskegee is particularly well-known for its programs in agricultural science.
