About us

Uniting for a brighter tomorrow.

The Alabama HBCU Consortium was formed in 2021 as a way for these four institutions to collaborate on common goals and address shared challenges. The consortium provides a platform for member schools to share resources, expertise, and best practices, and to advocate for policies that support the mission of HBCUs in Alabama and across the country.
The consortium also provides a platform for member institutions to collaborate on community engagement and economic development initiatives. By working together, HBCUs in Alabama are able to leverage their collective resources and expertise to support economic growth and promote social equity in the communities they serve.
In addition, the Alabama HBCU Consortium is committed to promoting equity and inclusion in higher education. By advocating for policies and practices that support diversity and equity, member institutions are able to ensure that all students have access to high-quality educational opportunities, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
Overall, the Alabama HBCU Consortium plays a critical role in promoting the mission and values of HBCUs in Alabama and across the country. By working together, member institutions are able to achieve greater impact and better serve their students and communities.
